Atli Þór Jóhannsson

I work with technology as part of a broader interest in society and the systems that shape everyday life.

My work has moved between startups, social innovation, public-interest technology and community projects. Across these contexts, I am interested in how we can build tools, institutions and businesses that are more humane, democratic and sustainable.

This includes work on climate solutions, circular systems, public-interest digital infrastructure, and new models for trust, cooperation and shared ownership.

Alongside my professional work, I run small experiments and community projects that explore the relationship between technology, society and everyday life — through software, teaching, public discussions and interactive formats.
